We have an enthusiastic and caring team of three doctors, ready to respond to the growing needs of our community and their beloved animals. Our professional team of experts are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve the diverse needs of our clients. We provide veterinary services to horses, cattle, small ruminants, and other livestock species. Dr. Christine M. Long
Veterinarian & Owner
Fitness, positivity and unstoppable drive are what Dr. Long brings to Pineview. A local girl graduating from West Columbus high school in Chadbourn, Dr. Long is dedicated to giving back to her community. Following the completion of High School, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from NC State University, where she then continued on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Long is very passionate about reproductive work and theriogenology as well as herd health management, and building the best team of large animal vets North Carolina and South Carolina has ever seen. As a veterinarian and owner of Pineview, she enjoys attending local FFA and 4-H events, cattlemen’s and horseman’s association meetings, as well as local livestock sales. She also loves spending time with her husband, Dustin as well as her twin children Keylin and Derek and baby Ella.
Dr. Katie McCallion
If you’re looking for a dedicated, thorough, and warm-hearted vet caring for your animals, look no further than Dr. Katie McCallion. As an experienced veterinarian, Dr. McCallion completed her veterinary school at NC State, where she obtained an additional year of training as a Ruminant Health Intern. Dr. McCallion comes from a diverse background of environmental and federal employment prior to vet school including a decade spent working as a fisheries biologist and two amazing years spent assisting the US Army in Afghanistan. Her professional interests include herd health and production medicine, acupuncture, and global health. When not working she enjoys spending time outdoors, live music, travel and adventure, and spending time with her fur and scale babies Sylvie, Sage, Stella, and Ruby.
Dr. Alexandru M. Pop
Veterinarian & Social Media Manager
Communication, patience, and excellence are what Dr. Pop brings to the table at Pineview. A well-traveled graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Pop also attended NC State for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Pop has been to over 20 countries and visited close to 40 states. He loves to explore new places with his loving girlfriend, Mary, enjoys cooking, gardening and working on cars. Dr. Pop's professional interests revolve around cattle and small ruminants, as well as entrepreneurship, business development, and social media marketing.
Donna P. Jacobs
Positive attitude and jokes galore! Your family will love having Donna answer your call and greet you with a smile in our clinic. Along with her fuzzy companion, Vivian, pictured above, Donna enjoys rag quilting and classical music and has background in showing halter horses (Paints) and trail riding.
